A new benefit CD by Bootsy Collins will be released Sunday as part of the dedication of a new veterans memorial in Deerfield Township.
The new monument is located in Cottell Park.
Proceeds from the $20 CD, titled “Fallen Soldiers Memorial,” will go toward the Fallen Heroes Foundation, which is raising money for a veterans’ museum. Collins is scheduled to autograph some of the CDs.
The CD features Collins and guest musicians Charlie Daniels, George Duke, Blair Carmen and others. Also scheduled to appear at Sunday’s dedication are Bengals kicker Shayne Graham; Cincinnati Bell CEO Jack Cassidy; and Keith Maupin, father of fallen Staff Sgt. Matt Maupin.
The dedication begins at 2 p.m. at the park, 5847 Irwin Simpson Road, Deerfield Township.
