THE DEAD’S CONCERTS TO AIR ON SIRIUS XM’S GRATEFUL DEAD CHANNEL

WHAT: SIRIUS XM will broadcast several of The Dead’s shows from their spring 2009 tour, the band’s first tour in five years, exclusively on its Grateful Dead Channel. The live broadcasts will kick off with The Dead’s show at the DCU Center in Worcester, MA, on Saturday, April 18.

SIRIUS XM’s Grateful Dead Channel will provide Dead fans with the only on-air opportunity to hear the highly-anticipated concerts.

In addition to live concert broadcasts, SIRIUS XM listeners will have access to behind-the-scenes updates from various stops along on the tour. The band’s archivist and host of the Grateful Dead Channel’s “Today in Grateful Dead History,” David Lemieux and noted author, Dead community member and co-host of the Grateful Dead Channel’s live talk show “Tales from the Golden Road,” Gary Lambert will lend their insight from many of the stops on the band’s historic tour.
