Tye-Dye Ball 2/26/10 – 60’s-Themed Concert Benefits a Good Cause Jerrys Little Band and The Spookfloaters to Peform

Cincinnati, OH – Two of Cincinnati’s longest-running jam bands will host a “blast to the past” concert at The Redmoor on Friday, Feb 26, 2010, featuring music by the Grateful Dead, Phish, Rolling Stones, Jerry Garcia Band and Bob Dylan. Jerry’s Little Band has been together since 1993 and The Spookfloaters have been performing since 1987. Both bands will come together to play favorites from the 60’s, and to “jam for a cause” – a percentage of proceeds will benefit Play it Forward, a 501c3 nonprofit organization with a mission of helping local musicians in extreme need.

Play it Forward’s Compilation 1, a 30-track CD set featuring many of Cincinnati’s best local bands, and The Ludlow Garage Project’s 40th Anniversary Ludlow Garage T-shirts and their Vol. 1 CD, will be also available for sale. In addition to music, there will also be a raffle of many items donated by local businesses. Attendees are encouraged to wear their best tie-dye shirts and beads as well as their favorite dancing shoes.

Doors open at 8pm and music starts at 9pm with The Spookfloaters, followed by Jerry’s Little Band at 11pm. The event will take place at The Redmoor in Mt. Lookout Square, 3187 Linwood Ave, Cincinnati OH 45208. Tickets are $10.
