Fresh off his induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Grammy-winner and reggae iconoclast Jimmy Cliff has added dates to his most extensive North American tour in twenty years.
In addition to previously announced performances at Bonnaroo, Wolf Trap and the Hollywood Bowl, Cliff will appear at Lollapalooza in August (date to be announced), Denver’s Mile High Fest, and San Francisco’s Outside Lands Festival. Cliff will also perform at the 40th Anniversary Earth Day Climate Rally on the National Mall in Washington D.C. on April 25, with Sting, John Legend, and others.
In a rapturous review of his performance at the Hall of Fame ceremonies in New York, Rolling Stone wrote, “The evening’s standout performer was Jimmy Cliff, who won over the crowd from the moment he squeezed his eyes shut and hit the first velvety notes of ‘You Can Get it If You Really Want,’ revealing a voice that is preserved to startling perfection.”
