In it for the Ride
Tupelo Honey’s sophomore release, following the 2007 EP Sweet, is aptly titled In it for the Ride, named after a track on the album and a few great words which sum up the recent years of the band who have seen successes such as being named the 2007 CEA Folk Americana category winners, opening for Brett Dennen, playing at Mid Point Music festival, being featured at local events Taste of Cincinnati and Oktoberfest as well as opening for Lee Ann Rimes at the Cintas center on September 17, 2010.
In it for the Ride gives your ears eleven new original folk-rock tunes mixed with solid hooks and inspiring instrumentation, sprinkled with good Latin vibes. Song subjects ranging from any and all experiences life can bring two twenty-something females – game playing, college drinking binges, railroad track scares and being independent – will have you hitting repeat and singing along for days. In it for the Ride, with its many twists and turns, leaves you wanting more and forever smiling.
