Happy New Year ORIGINAL WHISPERING BEARDOS!!!
Thank you for all of your support and help in making 2010 a successful year for all of us here at WBFF. We can’t wait to show you what we have planned for 2011! But, before we can get into all the new and exciting ventures we have planned for y’all, we’re here today to clarify a few rumors that have been flyin’ around all the internet water coolers.
The Whispering Beard Folk Festival will not be held at Thornhill Farms in 2011. The premise of The Whispering Beard Folk Festival has, and will always be, the notion that great talent, great art, and great music should always be within the grasp of great common people. The idea did not stem from a yearning to make a profit or the need for some great payoff in the end. The idea was spurred on by something greater, a
possibility. The possibility that the art, talent, music, and the community of it all, could prosper; even if only for three days, into a vision we could all believe in. The Whispering
Beard Folk Festival and Thornhill Farms no longer share that same vision. Like the move from Buffalo’s Barn, to Thornhill Farms, the Beard grows on. We here at The Whispering Beard Folk Festival are very excited about our new home.
The Whispering Beard Folk Festival is NOT affiliated with The Great Beardo Music Festival, or The Beardo Society, or The Beard, or any other festival being held at Thornhill Farms in 2011. This will be their festival’s first year, and we wish them all the best in their new endeavor.
Good, now that we have cleared all that up, we want to let you all in on a few surprises we have planned for 2011. Number one, we are… what’s that Katfish?… Don’t tell them just yet?… Well, you ORIGINAL WHISPERING BEARDOS heard the man, guess y’all just have to wait and see.
Yer Friends,
WHISPERING BEARD FOLK FESTIVAL
