A groove fueled dance party, Lubriphonic is at its best live, doling out pure energy and then getting it right back from ecstatic audiences. Made up of six of Windy City’s finest former blues sidemen, Lubriphonic creates something infectious and undeniable through, scorching guitars, wailing three piece horn lines, a non-stop rhythm section and soulful, bluesy vocals.

With the help of New Orleans legendary Ivan Neville on keyboards, the band’s latest album, The Gig is On perfectly showcases the broad range of sounds incorporated within the band’s unique and finely honed sound. RELIX Magazine recently gave high praise for the band’s “superb, adventurous, diverse, simply mesmerizing instrumental work… Lubriphonic’s members play with a tenacity and precision that sets them apart from equally proficient bands.”

Beginning as the brainchild of guitarist Giles Corey and drummer Rick King, Lubriphonic is rounded out by four more of Chicago’s finest funk, blues & rock musicians. On their own, the members of the band have honed their chops by recording or performing with such blues luminaries as Otis Rush, Buddy Guy, Koko Taylor and many more.

Winning over crowds nationwide with their soulful, high-energy performances, Lubriphonic has toured extensively (recently signing a deal with R.E.M. and Dead Confederate’s booking agency) and performed at such prestigious festivals as Summerfest, Gathering of the Vibes, The High Sierra Music Festival, The Telluride Blues & Brews Festival and were recently selected to open for Widespread Panic – a rare honor!
