Rockabilly Acts Get the Cincy Blues Fest Theme Stage Swingin’

CINCINNATI, OH – July 7, 2011: Guys, grease up those pompadours, and ladies, pull out your best vintage dress — the first night of the Cincy Blues Fest will feature five Rockabilly acts on the Arches Stage on Friday, August 5. Tri-state favorites Straw Boss, The Wastewheelers, the StarDevils, and Crazy Joe & the Mad River Outlaws will bring their swingin’ sounds to the stage, along with Ann Arbor, Michigan guitar slinger George Bedard.

For the past 19 years, the Cincy Blues Fest has showcased some of the best local, regional, national, and even international blues performers. The Friday night theme stage always features music that is related to, or born from, traditional blues, but with its own unique style. Last year’s tribute to New Orleans brought cajun and zydeco acts from the bayous and blues bars of Louisiana.

A full list of all 2011 performers and scheduled times is available on Cincy Blues Fest’s website: http://cincybluesfest.org

Festival admission is $15 per person Friday and $15 per person Saturday (2-day passes will be sold for $25 at the gate on Friday), children 13-18 are only $5 each day, and children 12 and under (with parent/guardian) are free.

Closing in on two decades of success, Cincy Blues Fest continues to draw fans and families to Cincinnati’s riverfront for music, food, fun, and the best names in the blues.
