25th Anniversary Widespread Panic Tour / PNC Pavilion at Riverbend Music Oct. 16

Widespread Panic continues a year-long 25^th Anniversary celebration with a night in Cincinnati at the PNC Pavilion at Riverbend Music on October 16. Aside from a couple of very special dates in early 2012, this will be Widespread Panic’s last full tour before going on hiatus.

In appreciation of loyal fans, during the 2011 Fall Tour Widespread Panic will perform at some of the smaller, more intimate venues that have become fan favorites through the years. Panic will also perform for the first time at a handful of venues.

After 25 years, Widespread Panic continues to be one of the top touring acts in the country, playing to packed houses, headlining festivals, and setting attendance records at major venues throughout the US. On October 15, Widespread Panic will be featured for the full-hour on the acclaimed PBS series Austin City Limits. The special 25^th Anniversary performance was recorded during the 2011 SXSW Music Conference, marking the first time ACL and SXSW hosted a joint taping and conference showcase.

Inspired by the efforts of the fan-based organization, Panic Fans for Food, in 2008 the band began hosting food drives at its shows, engaging a demographic that is typically more difficult for charities and food banks to reach.  To date their “Feeding People Through Music” endeavor has raised over $20,000 in donations for local communities.  Food Bank volunteers will be on hand at each show this fall accepting canned good and monetary donations.
