Kelly Thomas & The Fabulous Pickups CD listening party and acoustic performance at Historical Herzog Studios, Wednesday, September 28th, 2011

Kelly Thomas and The Fabulous Pickups are excited to celebrate the digital release of their debut album “Fly” at historical Herzog Studios (811 Race Street, Cincinnati) on Wednesday, September 28th.  Listening party at 7 p.m., followed by an interactive acoustic performance, where folks will be able to write down questions or requests on a post card when they arrive and the band will answer or accommodate during the acoustic performance.  Musicians performing are Kelly Thomas, Jeff Boling, John Bedinghaus, Sylvia Mitchell, Kevin Hogle, Brad Meinerding and David Rhodes Brown.  Thomas hopes that other local musicians will follow suit and start hosting their events in the historical space.  The event is open to the public and is free, however, their will be a collection taken during the performance to support The Cincinnati USA Music Heritage Foundation.  There will be a cash bar (proceeds also supporting the foundation) and even some finger foods made by Thomas!

The album is being released in two stages; digitally the week following the performance and then in CD on Friday, November 18th with a party at York Street Café.  Pre-orders can be made until September 30th at a significantly reduced price at www.kellythomasonline.com .  The album was engineered and produced by Mike Montgomery at Candyland Studios and features stellar performances by; Elton Clifton, Mike Montgomery, Brad Meinerding, David Rhodes Brown, Katie Cook and Heather Turner of Tupelo Honey, Noah Sugarman and  Kevin Hogle and Kristen Kreft .  The Fabulous Pickups are; Jeff Boling, Sylvia Mitchell and John Bedinghaus.
