Columbus, Ohio-band Red Wanting Blue launched its “From The Vanishing Point” tour in September 2012.  The run, in support of the album of the same name, included an appearance on VH1’s morning show “Big Morning Buzz Live.”  Red Wanting Blue also performed the song during its network television debut on the“Late Show with David Letterman” in July 2012.  “Stay On The Bright Side,” another track from theFrom The Vanishing Point album was a “Daily Download” at Rolling Stone.  Red Wanting Blue also performed for the NPR program “Mountain Stage” this past November in Huntington, WV.

For those who have not had the chance to catch a Red Wanting Blue show, the Chicago-based Audiotree site posted a multi-camera, hour-long session with the band at: http://audiotree.tv/session/red-wanting-blue and Red Wanting Blue has made a soundboard recording of its recent sold-out show at City Winery in New York available for free download via Noisetrade at http://noisetrade.com/redwantingblue.  A session recorded forDaytrotter will post later this month, as well.

Since the release of From The Vanishing Point in January, 2012, Red Wanting Blue has seen a steady increase in attention being paid to the sound that band leader Scott Terry has been bringing to America for over a decade.  With an advance sell-out at the 1400-capacity House of Blues in Cleveland to a Top 10 debut on theBillboard “Heatseekers” chart, Red Wanting Blue’s story is a textbook case of local boys making good.
