Ivan & Alyosha gear stolen: Launch Pledge campaign and Announce New Tour Dates

In what has been an amazing year full of accomplishment, constant gigging, and newly won fans, Ivan & Alyosha’s current headline tour hit a snag in Atlanta, GA last week when their van and trailer were stolen. See below for a complete missing gear list.

While their van has since been recovered, the trailer with all of their gear and equipment remains at large. Having been inundated with an outpouring of support and offers to help replace the lost items, Ivan & Alyosha have set up a Pledge Music campaign which can be found HERE.Fans can show support by using the #helpianda hashtag on Twitter. In addition to the Pledge campaign, during the week of June 24th-July 1st 100% of net proceeds from sales at digital and physical retail will be donated to the band by Dualtone Music Group.

“It was unfortunate that our van & trailer were stolen in Atlanta, Ga,” said Ivan & Alyosha’s Tim Wilson. “On the bright side, we’ve been pretty overwhelmed by all the love and support from everyone in the past couple of days. We’re trying to turn a really crappy situation into something positive, and we’re grateful for all of the support.”

Rhapsody, Amazon, and Noisetrade have also stepped up help the band in their time of need. Rhapsody for their part, has donated $10,000 to kick off the fundraising effort.

We are big fans of Ivan & Aloysha, who have been friends of Rhapsody since the beginning. When we heard that their entire tour kit was stolen, we were quick to rally support for them and get them back on the road. We invite our members, friends and partners to join us,” said Jon Maples, vice president, content, at Rhapsody. “At Rhapsody, we do more than just listen, which puts the artist at the center of every corner of our business and our culture.”

Amazon generously contributed $5,000 to the cause on their end.

“We have a great history with Ivan and Alyosha and are big fans here at Amazon. In fact, we used one of their songs, ‘Easy to Love,’ in a Kindle commercial and the band even stopped by earlier this year to play a short set for our employees – check out their performance of “Fathers Be Kind“. So we were glad to be able help with some new gear so they can get back to rocking,” said Simha Kumar, Musical Instruments, Amazon.com

Noisetrade.com will be offering a free download of All The Times We Had starting June 18th, and will donate free advertising space to support the band. Fans can tip/donate when they download to aide in the band’s effort to raise funds to replace the stolen gear and trailer.

Despite the setback, the band is continuing on with their planned tour dates, and have announced additional dates for later this summer. Upcoming tour dates below.

Released this spring by Missing Piece/Dualtone, All The Times We Had has won over countless fans and critics with what The New Yorker praised as their “honey-baked, homespun folk”, andUSA Today described as “sheer joy, from their melodic surface to deep inside their lyrical core.”NPR Music applauded the “gorgeous, swelling, impeccably built songs about love and faith.”
