The popular music festival organized by local musician, Kelly Thomas, makes it return, after a one year hiatus, Thursday October 24, Friday October 25 and Saturday October 26, 2013. Bigger and better than ever, the festival will utilize 7 local venues and feature 46 acts! Jesse Thomas, who has ties to One More Girl On A Stage, will also be returning to the Queen City to participate in the event! This year’s goal is to raise $10,000 for The American Cancer Society’s, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk.
Thursday night will be a free music samples event! No cover at any venue! Over-The Rhine/Cincinnati, Ohio. Music will be happening at Neon’s Unplugged, Japp’s Annex, The Drinkery and MOTR Pub. Music kicks off at 8 p.m. and will feature a variety of genres. Artists such as Mia Carruthers, Heavy Hinges, Magnolia Mountain Quartet, Sticky Honey, Darlene, Stompin’ Revolvers, Holly Spears and others will grace the rooms with their original music.
Friday will take place at The Southgate House Revival, Newport, KY. Ticket price $15. Friday will feature music in all rooms of the house, including headline act, Jess Thomas! Thomas moved to L.A. a few years ago and has had great success. She has been the featured artist for Starbucks downloads and I Tunes download of the day, which had 130,000 downloads. Other featured acts include; The Tammy WhyNots, Shiny and The Spoon, The Perfect Children, Sassy Molasses and many more.
Saturday will end the fest at York Street Café, Newport KY. Ticket price $10. Saturday offers music on two stages, including; Kelly Thomas and The Fabulous Pickups, Alone at 3 a.m., Hickory Robot, Honey and Houston and other and a silent auction!
