Blackberry Smoke is announcing its next leg of touring. Live Nation and House of Blues Present the “Fire in the Hole Tour 2014” will begin January 9, 2014 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and go all the way through April, ending on the 19th Spokane, WA, with The Delta Saints supporting. The full itinerary is below.

Before this year is over, however, Blackberry Smoke’s concert on Friday, November 9, will be broadcast LIVE nationwide on AXS TV. The band will also be giving fans a chance to win a special, autographed vinyl copy of The Whippoorwill.  Details can be found at the following link,http://bit.ly/18ecOHL.  Emblematic of AXS TV’s dedication to bring live programming and music back to television, AXS TV’s Concert Series crosses over many musical genres and spans to globe to deliver everything from stadium tours to club acts to some of the most anticipated festivals on the calendar.

The band will also be playing on November 29 in their hometown of Atlanta, GA, at The Tabernacle. The show is being called The Blackberry Smoke Brothers and Sisters Holiday Homecoming Show and will feature singer/songwriter Chris Knight and Levi Lowrey as support plus special guests. Also on November 29, the band will be releasing a 12″ vinyl split with Lynyrd Skynyrd in support of Record Store Day and Black Friday. It’ll be a live recording on a limitededition 180 gram piece of vinyl with three songs by both bands and will be released via Southern Ground.

To coincide with the new confirmed tour dates, Blackberry Smoke has gone into a partnership with Carhartt to create new merchandise items – an exclusive American made shop jacket and a beanie hat. These items will be part of the band’s continuing effort to employ American workers and factories. The “Made in the USA” line of products will be literally made in the United States with all locally sourced materials.

Blackberry Smoke had their performance of the opening theme song for Cartoon Network/Adult Swim program Squidbillies air on September 29, and they also recently spent two days recording with Bob Weir at his Tri Studios in San Raphael, CA, doing a mix of Grateful Dead and The Band covers as well as several originals, accompanied by Weir to be made a part of his Weir Here video series. These can now be seen on the Tri Studios Website. The band also inked a deal in the UK and Europe with British indie label Earache Records. Their latest record, The Whippoorwill, already out in America will be released in the UK on February 17, 2014 with exclusive bonus material.

In a little more than a decade together, Blackberry Smoke has released three full-length albums-including 2012’s The Whippoorwill (Southern Ground), the band’s first for country megastar Zac Brown’s Southern Ground label-two EPs and a live DVD, Live at the Georgia Theatre, which serves as the perfect showcase for the band’s raucous, rockin’ good-times-for-all take on rock ‘n’ roll. A chunk of the DVD’s concert footage has aired numerous times on Palladia, and the band also shot a DirecTV concert that has aired countless times. Mixing elements of gospel, bluegrass, arena rock, soul and more than a touch of outlaw country, Blackberry Smoke has earned a passionate fanbase that continues to grow as the band itself evolves and their tireless blue-collar work ethic shows no signs of slowing down.
