New Orleans band The Revivalists signed to Wind-up Records last week and the guys have spent the last few years touring all over the country, playing countless sold out shows from California to New York and places in between. They have become a must see band on the festival circuit, performing in featured slots at Bonnaroo, Jazz Fest, Voodoo Festival, Governors Ball, The Hangout Festival, Mountain Jam and many more.  David Fricke of Rolling Stone calls them “…a Crescent City-rhythm spin on jam-band jubilee…” and Relix adds, “…the group’s powerful and accessible sound…with funky grooves and danceable beats…The singer wails with an Eddie Vedder-intensity…”

Revivalists front-man David Shaw will be performing a home town show next week with The Heard @ Ryan’s Tavern in Hamilton, OH on Wed, Nov 27th.

1) How long have you done this?
this year will be the 5 year anniversary of the show.

2) Always the same venue?
Yes. It’s always at this place called Ryan’s Tavern in downtown Hamilton.

3) Is this more about getting home and seeing old friends?
It’s all about getting home and hanging with family and friends.

4) What/whose songs are you playing? Revivalists, etc.
I’ll be playing a bunch of stripped versions of my songs/Revivalists songs. I also am bringing in a slammin band from Chicago called The Heard to be my band for the night.

5) Anything else special or important to mention that may resonate with press/readers?
I was just recently chosen as one if the 5 people of character for the City of Hamilton. I’m very honored by this.
