Newport, Kentucky, November 20, 2013 — ‘Tis the season and Powerhouse has been busy. We’re whipping up our holiday batch o’ moonshine, decorating our satellite dishes with twinkly lights and hanging grandpa’s stockings by the woodstove with care. All that’s left to do is to put on your best flannel and get ‘Housed for the Hollerdays at Powerhouse Factories’ annual holiday party Friday, December 13th, 2013 from 6 PM — Midnight.
We’re opening our creative studio to the public and there will be plenty of hootin’ and hollerin’ to be had. The free event will feature a musical performance by local Cincinnati, indie favorite Pop Goes the Evil from 10:00 PM — 11:00 PM. Those who still don’t have their holiday card photo picked out, can pop into our “Home for the Hollerdays” photo booth with their friends and make a scene.
Attendees looking to cross a few more people off their holiday gift list can peruse our selection of classic Powerhouse rock posters, plus tons of new work featuring the likes of Neko Case, Motion City Soundtrack, The Head and the Heart, David Byrne and St. Vincent and many more. Powerhouse will offer their annual ‘Buy One Get One Half Off’ deal on the entire Powerhouse collection. There will even be a limited selection of prints as low as $5 in the holiday poster bargain box. To help attendees get in the holiday spirit, canned seasonal beverages will be provided while you browse. All prints on display will be available for purchase with prices ranging from $10-$50. Framed posters start at $100.
