Nashville-based songwriter Andrew Combs—whose debut album, Worried Man, was named one of American Songwriter’s Top 50 Albums of the Year—has announced a Midwest summer tour with fellow Nashville songwriter Amanda Shires from Aug. 14–24.
In July, Combs will join Joe Fletcher and Ron Gallo (of Toy Soldiers) for the “Beach Binge” Tour, with dates along the Eastern seaboard, including the official Newport Folk Festival kickoff party on July 24 and a farewell show aboard New York’s Rocks Off cruise on July 30.
Combs recently signed with London-based record label Loose Music (Lucero, Sturgill Simpson) and will head to the U.K. to perform at the End of Road Festival on Aug. 29, followed by tour dates throughout the country.
Combs is currently working on his forthcoming sophomore album, teaming up with Nashville producers Skylar Wilson and Jordan Lehning (Caitlin Rose, Justin Townes Earle). Combs met up with American Songwriter and L.R. Baggs to perform solo versions of two new songs.
