Saturday, Oct. 25, the award-winning, Juilliard-trained, Annie Moses Band of PBS fame will perform at the McAuley Performing Arts Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, as part of the ensemble’s originally written and arranged “Rhapsody in Bluegrass: The Art of American Music” tour.

Inspired by George Gershwin’s “Rhapsody In Blue” and other iconic American composers, the tour is a high-energy reinvention of classic American melodies. “Rhapsody in Bluegrass” fuses Appalachian bluegrass, Irish fiddle, folk, and classic themes to create a musically diverse, genre bending, family-friendly concert experience for all generations.

“Our audiences had an overwhelming experience,” said Conductor of the Cape Cod Symphony, Jung-Ho Pak, after performing a six night concert series with the Annie Moses Band. “Their combination of high energy, raw talent, and showmanship is a consistent recipe for success.”

After two chart topping albums, over 1,200 hours on PBS and recent debuts at the Grand Ole Opry as well as Carnegie Hall, the family that makes up the Annie Moses Band has found the next step in their celebrated career with “Rhapsody in Bluegrass.”

“With ‘Rhapsody in Bluegrass,’ we wanted to cover the scope of the American musical landscape,” says Annie Dupre, lead vocalist of the Annie Moses Band. “We can’t wait to share this cinematic experience with audiences.”

The event is hosted by the Greater Cincinnati Performing Arts Society, a non-profit benefitting elementary school educational programs, and will be the Annie Moses Band’s last “Rhapsody in Bluegrass” performance in Ohio before the holiday season.

The McAuley Performing Arts Center is located at 6000 Oakwood Ave., Cincinnati, Ohio. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $36 for general admission, $41 for reserved seating and are available online at www.anniemosesband.com or by calling 513-484-0157.
