“DAVE MASON’S TRAFFIC JAM” is more than just a concert; it’s an uncommon two-act multimedia presentation. The tour features MASON performing the music of his years with Traffic—music that is near and dear to the hearts of baby boomers and fans of classic rock including songs that haven’t been heard live for many years such as “Dear Mr. Fantasy,” “You Can All Join In,” “Pearly Queen,” “Medicated Goo” and others—as well as hits and important songs that formed his career and defined the times such as “Only You Know and I Know,” “We Just Disagree,” “World In Changes,” “Feelin’ Alright,” “All Along the Watchtower” and more. Throughout each show, DAVE shares great stories and interesting inside tales about the songs, Traffic and the era aided by an archival visual aspect utilizing rare vintage photos. “DAVE MASON’S TRAFFIC JAM” has been earning accolades from the over 100 shows that have been performed since kicking off in January 2014.

On performing the music of Traffic, MASON says, “I think that it is important to keep alive the legacy of four young men from the heartland of England and their contribution to contemporary music. And ‘Traffic Jam’–aside from the obvious material–will hopefully grow into the basis for other artists to participate. Keep the spirit alive!”

Earlier this year, the iconic singer, songwriter and guitarist released FUTURE’S PAST (May 13, 2014), an album featuring new versions of his classic songs plus new material that he’s written and performed on tour over the last few years. The 9-track album includes re-interpreted versions of “Dear Mr. Fantasy” and “World In Changes” along with a new song called “That’s Freedom” among others. The cover art illustration for FUTURE’S PAST was done by Graham Nash from a photo he made of Dave while at Nash’s place in Hawaii. Touring and recording regularly since co-founding Traffic in 1966, DAVE MASON has had an extremely successful and acclaimed solo career in addition to recording and/or touring with artists including Jimi Hendrix, the Rolling Stones, George Harrison, Delaney & Bonnie, Graham Nash, Paul McCartney, Joe Walsh, Fleetwood Mac and more.

In addition to his musical legacy, DAVE MASON, along with his longtime buddies lobsterman John Kiekrash and IT Specialist Ted Kanpp, formed the charity Work Vessels For Veterans in 2008 when the three men got together in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and over a bottle of tequila and cigars decided that they wanted to do something to help Vets returning from Iraq and Afghanistan put their lives back on track in a manner that offered a “hand up, not a hand out.” What they envisioned was an all-volunteer organization where nearly all of the funds (now operating at 95%) would go to the Vets, not to cover exorbitant administration fees associated with most charities. Since then, their 501-C-3 charity dream Work Vessels For Veterans has assisted thousands of veterans with the “vessels” (such as laptops, trucks, cars, boats, equipment, tools and land) to begin a career or expand their businesses while enriching their lives and those of other Vets. In connection with this year’s Veteran’s Day, MASON released a new song and video called “Thank You,” which is currently available as a free download on his website here: http://www.davemasonmusic.com/thank-you-veterans.
