Guster expands their spring US tour in celebration of their seventh studio album, ‘Evermotion,’ out Jan. 13 via Nettwerk/Ocho Mule. Experimenting with new instrumentation and evolving their sound in the studio with producer Richard Swift, keyboardist for The Shins and touring bassist for The Black Keys, Guster will layer their new songs into their powerful live shows. The Boston Globe hailed the “contours and depth” of their performance, with the Denver Post praising the “gorgeousness of their harmonic ability” and the Washington Post asserting, “No one can say these guys don’t put on a show.” Guster will tour with opener Kishi Bashi.
‘Evermotion’ is now streaming in full via Spotify, showcasing Guster’s continued sonic evolution called “winsome” by USA Today and praised by Vice Noisey as “emotive, honest” from a band “capable of writing tight hooks, painting sharply rendered scenes and playing with unique instrumental textures.” Watch a BTS video of the band in the studio with Richard Swift here:
