Dawes – who are presently in midst of an April run of shows, highlighted by sold-out dates at the legendary Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN on Wednesday. April 20th and Chicago, IL’s historic Vic Theatre on Wednesday, April 27th – will also top the bill at a number of upcoming summer festivals, including Mount Solon, VA’s Red Wing Roots Music Festival (Friday, July 8th), Greenfield, MA’s Green River Festival (Saturday, July 9th), and Buena Vista, CO’s Vertex (August 5th-7th). In addition, Middle Brother – the acclaimed collaboration of Dawes’ Taylor Goldsmith, John McCauley (Deer Tick, Diamond Rugs), and Matthew Logan Vasquez (Delta Spirit) – is set for a rare live performance at Newport, RI’s sold out Newport Folk Festival, slated for Sunday, July 24th.
As if all that weren’t enough, Dawes has also scheduled a series of additional dates, co-headlining Portland, ME’s State Theatre with Shakey Graves on Tuesday, July 12th, and supporting Brandi Carlile and Old Crow Medicine Show at Canandaigua, NY’s Constellation Brands-Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center on Friday, July 22nd and Columbia, MD’s famed Merriweather Post Pavilion on Saturday, July 23rd. August will then see Dawes traveling alongside Alabama Shakes for a much anticipated tour culminating in a two night stand at Los Angeles, CA’s Greek Theatre on Tuesday, August 9th (Sold Out) and Wednesday, August 10th.
Along with their seemingly non-stop touring schedule, Dawes has spent much of 2016 hard at work on their eagerly anticipated fifth studio album, to be released via their own HUB Records. The follow-up to 2015’s chart-topping ALL YOUR FAVORITE BANDS is tentatively scheduled to arrive before year’s end. For additional news and updates, please visit dawestheband.com/news.
