What: None Other Fest is a multi-genre celebration and fund-raising event.  The purpose of None Other Fest is to act as a catalytic event to raise funds for groups who fight for  people who routinely experience being “othered” or bullied within our society. Our 2016 inaugural event will focus on the LGBTQIA community with a specific focus on Transgender rights, and the strengthening of alliances across populations. The vision of None Other Fest is the empowerment of everyone to seek their own happiness while doing no harm, and to live their fullest and most authentic lives without shame or fear.  Our goal is complete connection to the humanity in everyone: we are one..there are no “others”.

How: By bringing in these many different performers, speakers and personalities of the Southern Ohio and Northern Kentucky region to share their stories and to shed light on groups such as GLSEN andHeartland Trans Wellness Group due to their integral work in our community. We will have a suggested donation of $5 for this event to help raise the funds for these groups to continue their mission.

Other info: None Other Fest will take place November 20th: Transgender Day of Remembrance, or TDoR.  Although NOF is not a specific TDoR event, we act in solidarity with all that TDoR stands for. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transgender_Day_of_Remembrance

One of the national issues going on now is the treatment of LGBTQIA youth and transgender individuals who are still “othered” within society. We are creating a musical event, that crosses genres and different forms of art, to show that we are all one people under the rainbow of love and compassion.
