The Cliftones are currently on their way out to California to bring Cincinnati reggae to the masses. Cincy Groove is very lucky to have photo journalist Joelle Gueguen documenting the tour with her photos.
So here is my installment for day 9 – Day 8 was a day off as previously mentioned. We spent some time on Huntington Beach CA to do a photo shoot before heading to the Wayfarer in Costa Mesa for the band last gig in California.
That same day we also left the house of Dustin Becker who was hosting us but nevertheless he came to see The Cliftones one more time at the Wayfarer. While Brent Olds,Tim Hensley and Kevin Muray were doing a sound check some of the band members played ping pong and I also had a go at it. They played with Ameera again that night. Our host Dustin Becker had a live tuition on stage by percussionist Alonzo Legette before having a go on his own. This was fun! The band will then drive trough the night to reach Las Vegas in the morning.
