PromoWest Productions today announced a partnership between the National Alliance on Mental Illness Southwest Ohio (NAMI) and Roochute during the 2017 Bunbury Music Festival in Cincinnati June 2-4, to raise awareness and spark conversations surrounding mental illness. The Roochute initiative promotes awareness of mental wellness through the use of a giant parachute and has been seen at other major music festivals (see video at roochute.com.)

Roochute and NAMI Southwest Ohio will be on site at the Bunbury Music Festival on Saturday, June 3 and Sunday, June 4 to provide festival attendees information about mental health resources and how people can seek help, and the parachute itself will be open for fan interaction throughout both days.

“We’re excited to partner with Roochute at Bunbury 2017 to bring awareness to mental health issues. Since one-half of all chronic mental illness begins by age 14 and three-quarters by age 24, it’s important for everyone to know that treatment works and resources and support are available,” said Heather Turner, Executive Director of NAMI Southwest Ohio.

Celebrating its sixth year in 2017, the three-day Bunbury Music Festival will return to downtown Cincinnati’s Sawyer Point and Yeatman’s Cove from June 2-4, transforming the banks of the Ohio River into a vibrant festival experience. The Bunbury 2017 lineup will feature headliners Muse, Wiz Khalifa, G-Eazy, Bassnectar and Pretty Lights in addition to a jam-packed, eclectic lineup of national, regional and local acts over three days.
