On October 7th from 12pm to 10pm, Community Matters will be hosting the 4 th annual Bend in the River Art & Music Festival. This family-friendly event is free to the public and showcases the ongoing vibrant transformation of the Lower Price Hill neighborhood. Bend Fest will be held in and around The Sanctuary, a beautifully-renovated, historic former church built in 1847 (2110 St. Michael Street, Cincinnati, OH 45204). Bend Fest will feature local music ranging from bluegrass to alternative rock with headliner performances in the evening by The Tillers and Ben Knight & the Welldiggers. Opening performances will include community favorites MYCincinnati, MUSE│Cincinnati’s Women’s Choir, and WordPlay spoken word poetry, as well as the up and coming young talent of the band Saving Escape.

A diverse group of local artists and other vendors will make our Art Alley come alive and St. Michael Street will become a kid’s area complete with fall, family-friendly games. Food & beverages at Bend in the River will also be available from local businesses, including craft beers from Rivertown Brewing & Barrel House, Buddy Fristoe’s Catering, and a community grill out.

All proceeds support the work of Community Matters. Community Matters would like to thank our sponsors Busam Automotive, Hart Pharmacy, Nehemiah Manufacturing Co., Ohio Arts Council, Model Group, Rivertown Brewing & Barrel House, Santa Maria Community Services, and Oyler School.
