Island Christmas Holiday Brings A Unique New Tradition To Cincinnati Dec 21

Island Christmas Holiday, the one-of-a-kind musical celebration of the holiday season, returns for its second year!  Make some plans and join us for Cincinnati’s hottest holiday event.  Island Christmas Holiday is filled with the island sounds of soca, calypso, and reggae – where ‘White Christmas’ meets Bob Marley and ‘A Prairie Home Companion’ meets Jimmy Buffett.  You will hear your favorite Christmas tunes presented unlike you’ve ever heard them before performed by The Merry Gentlemen, featuring members from The SunBurners and the Queen City Silver Stars.  The show will also include the Young Professionals Choral Collective ( as well as several guest artists and a visit from Santa Claus himself!

Island Christmas Holiday will take place on Thursday, December 21st at The Church in Oakley (4117 34th Ave Cincinnati, OH 45209.)  Pre-sale tickets can be purchased through for only $10 ($13 Day of Show).  Doors open at 7:00 pm with the show kicking off at 7:30 pm.  The event is BYOB and open to all ages.

Island Christmas Holiday is produced by Scotty McEvoy (The SunBurners) and Mark Becknell (QCCS), who wanted to bring their two musical communities together to spread positive, island vibes in what can be a very hectic season. The show gives guests a brief “island holiday” from the hustle and bustle.   Highlights from the program include a visit from Santa Claus, a dramatic island adaptation of “Twas the Night Before Christmas” and an epic Christmas Songbook sing-a-long at the end of the night (soca-style!).  The Church will be decked out in Christmas lights and other decorations.  Guests are invited to dress accordingly (ugly Christmas sweaters encouraged!).

You need a vacation…at least for a couple of hours!
