Sycamore Electric Ensemble (also known as SEE1) is Cincinnati’s first high school rock orchestra. Formed in 2003, SEE1 is composed of electric string instruments along with traditional garage-band instruments. The concert will feature professional lighting and sound. The band will play modern hits by Imagine Dragons, Paramour, White Stripes and Kanye West as well as older classics by Santana and the Foo Fighters. SEE1 will also feature some of Joe Deninzon’s original music.

Joining SEE1 and Joe Deninzon this year will be singers from the Sycamore HS Choir Program, members of the Sycamore 8th grade Orchestra and the younger rock orchestra Everlasting Monsoon, composed of Sycamore music students in 6th grade.

Joe Deninzon has been hailed by critics as “The Jimi Hendrix of the Violin,” because of his innovative style on acoustic and electric seven-string violin. A musician who transcends many genres, Joe has worked with Bruce Springsteen, Kiss’s Peter Criss, Renaissance, Sheryl Crow, Les Paul, Phoebe Snow, Aretha Franklin, and Ritchie Blackmore, and performed for President Clinton. He can be heard on over 100 recordings and jingles as a violinist and string arranger.

Deninzon is the lead singer and violinist for the progressive rock band, Stratospheerius, and a member of the Latin Jazz string quartet, Sweet Plantain, which tours extensively.

Deninzon will also host workshops with students at Sycamore High School, Sycamore Junior High, and perform at E.H. Greene Intermediate prior to the performance.
