On May 18th from 12pm to 10pm, Community Matters will be hosting the 5th annual Bend in the River Art & Music Festival. This family-friendly event is free to the public and showcases the ongoing vibrant transformation of the Lower Price Hill neighborhood. Bend Fest will be held in and around The Sanctuary, a beautifully-renovated, historic former church built in 1847 (2110 St. Michael Street, Cincinnati, OH 45204). This year’s festival is held in partnership with the 42nd annual Lower Price Hill Appalachian Festival.

Bend Fest will feature local music ranging from bluegrass to folk with a headliner performance in the evening by Buffalo Wabs & The Price Hill Hustle. Other performances will include Roscoe and Bethany Morgan, Blue Rock, Harold Kennedy & the Honky Tonk 3, Green Willow, The Rabbit Hash String Band, Carter Bridge, Wonky Tonk, and Whitewater Ridge.

A diverse group of local artists and other vendors will fill Art Alley and St. Michael Street will become a Kid’s Area complete with face painting and games. Food and beverage options will include a grill out and craft beer from West Side Brewing Co.

All proceeds support the work of Community Matters. Community Matters would like to thank major event sponsors Ohio Arts Council and Nehemiah Manufacturing Co..
