The Singer & The Songwriter (Rachel Garcia & Thu Tran) and Annie Bacon, having met three years ago at an open mic in the San Francisco scene, found fast friendship in a shared love of stories. This month the two groups are hitting the road together for The Long Road Tour, bringing stories, songs and charming stage presence to the Midwest.
Michigan-based Annie Bacon creates a lush and earnest Americana/folk-rock sound reeling between the pure tones of Stevie Nicks and the emotive storytelling arcs of Tracy Chapman. Music that means something and makes you feel. “Some singers have a way of connecting with their audience and Annie Bacon’s storytelling is exceptional,” says Folk Radio UK.
