Friday Flow presented by P&G Returns to Washington Park

Washington Park’s FREE R&B Series, Friday Flow presented by P&G, returns this summer with 12 nights of entertainment! The series, now in its 9th season, is returning to Washington park after a break in 2020 due to COVID19. This year’s series will kick off with a focus on local vocalists, in collaboration with Cincy Nice, which is a local creative collective specializing in events, art, and experiences. In addition will feature several special events later in the summer such as the Cincinnati Music Festival Outdoor Museum.

The first three dates of the series, June 4, June 11, and June 18 will all be collaborations with Cincy Nice and feature performances from Jayda Klink, Sound the Alarm, Infinite Drums, Natural Progressions, Black Brass Band, DJ Rah, DJ Ghost and the Q Kidz. Each night will be emcee’d by Siri Imani and feature a local DJ, special performances, and more. Concerts are from 6p to 9p at Washington Park’s main stage on the civic lawn. Additional dates will be announced soon, with the event series running twelve Fridays from June 4-September 3. COVID19 procedures for Friday Flow and other Washington Park events will be evaluated and adjusted as CDC, state and local guidelines change.

“Procter & Gamble is thrilled to bring Friday Flow back to the community in a safe way with a great local lineup in June, we know how much the event was missed last year” said Barbara Hauser, Senior Community Relations Manager, P&G, “We’re especially excited to collaborate with Cincy Nice to bring a new flare and unique local performances to the Washington Park stage.”

Friday Flow is typically a part of the road to The Cincinnati Music Festival, also presented by Procter & Gamble. This year’s music festival has been postponed due to COVID19, and scheduled headliners Charlie Wilson, Snoop Dogg and Janet Jackson will perform at Paul Brown Stadium July 21-23, 2022. However, P&G is thrilled to bring back the CMF Outdoor Museum to celebrate Black and Brown artists and businesses on July 24th at Washington Park. The exhibit will stay up through August and then head to the new Court Street Plaza.

Washington Park’s concessions offer full bar service, including liquor, wine, Bud Light and craft beer offerings from Taft’s Ale House, Rhinegeist, Fifty West Brewing, and the Christian Moerlein Brewing Company. Friday Flow is sponsored by Procter & Gamble and First Financial Bank.

Washington Park is located at 1230 Elm Street, in the heart of Over-the-Rhine. Secure parking is available in the Park’s 450-space underground garage facility, or at nearby Mercer Garage on Vine Street.
