Danger Wheel 8: Cincinnati’s Adult Big Wheel Race Goes GREEN – Taking Place On 7/29

CINCINNATI – Danger Wheel, the adult downhill Big Wheel race, is taking over the streets of Pendleton again this July with a new partner in the driver’s seat: Huffy Bicycles, the maker of the iconic Green Machine. Now in its eighth year, the locally organized race offers 64 three-person teams the chance to face-off on courses that will be changed throughout the day for some added thrill. On Saturday, July 29th , racers will compete one-on-one for the much-coveted title of “Danger Champion”!

“The Green Machine is a huge part of Huffy’s history, and it truly makes adults feel like a kid again – much like they feel racing down the hill at Danger Wheel,” said Kris Parlett, VP of Brand and DTC Marketing at United Wheels, the parent company of Huffy Bicycles. “The partnership with Danger Wheel feels like a natural fit, and we’re excited to turn this 2023 downhill race GREEN!”

Also returning this year as a lead partner is Fifth Third Bank. Fifth Third has been an active sponsor in the event with engaging experiences and even fielding a racing team in the Danger Wheel tournament the last two years. By engaging in the local community and showing up on race day, they’ve made Danger Wheel a Fifth Third better.

Monster Energy is the final returning lead partner of the event. Their support of Danger Wheel has fueled race teams for the last three years and helped grow the exposure of Danger Wheel to their national audience of extreme sports.

The outdoor event, held rain or shine, is free and open to the public and will go downhill fast in Cincinnati’s Pendleton neighborhood on July 29th, starting at noon. Registration for three-person teams is open now at www.DangerWheel.com.

WHAT: Danger Wheel is in the eighth season and is thrilled to announce its new presenting sponsor Huffy Green Machine.
