The recording of “1000 Years” is a new studio version spawned by Amy Lee’s surprise onstage appearance alongside Bush at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium during their hugely successful 2023 headlining tour. The meditative and moving ballad expertly showcases Lee and Rossdale’s vocal chemistry and provides yet another highlight to the already-renowned album.

Lee stated: “Gavin invited me to get up onstage for a song and sent me a link to “1000 years”. “It was just one of those things where I had the basics of the part in my head the first time I listened to it. It is so natural, I loved it immediately, it’s haunting. I think sometimes things are just meant to be and all you have to do is kind of let them happen. I’m so happy Bush liked it enough to ask me to record! I’ve loved their music since I was first dreaming of being in a band myself. So this is literally a dream come true for me”.

Fresh off of their recent concert run with fellow rock legends Breaking Benjamin, Bush will be on the road once again this summer with a special list of one-off dates including MainStage appearances at top rock festivals Incarceration and Rocklahoma, and select Fair and headline shows including being added to the list of All Star artists taking part in the super exclusive grand opening of The Atlantis in D.C. which was opened this week by none other than the Foo Fighters.
